A Year of Reflection...

Hi everyone... Can you believe we are coming to the end of another year. I am amazed at where the time has gone, it seems to have flown by in the blink of an eye.

2012 was a year of  mostly good and a small amount of not so good times.
My son Ryan moved even further away to live in the NT- Ayers Rock and  my Friend Sally moved away to live in Moe, Melbourne.

It also was the year I became a Nanna once again to a beautiful Granddaughter "Shevy " little sister for my adorable Grandson Ayce.
Work was an interesting year, had lots of FUN creating with a gorgeous group of Girls on Saturday mornings..spent way to much on crafty goodies...experimented with different Art Mediums and health wise was good- no problems... so all in all 2012 was Ok I guess, lol...

I would also like to take this time to wish everyone a A fabulous New Year and that "2013"brings you all Happiness and Great times.
 Also a very big Thank you all my followers who pop over. I know like myself that we don't always get to leave comments as we are all so busy but I do appreciate you popping by for a looksee when you can.

Found that Distress Inks and Post it Notes make for some great backgrounds.

Love how that using Copic Markers, Distress Inks and  Paint  creates great scenes.

a New found LOVE- "Sons of Anarchy" TV show so had to make a card. This is Jaxs.....

 Tried my hand at Copic Colouring with no Dark stamp Lines.

Found a new crafty goody called  "Washi Tape"

 This was for my son Ryan living in the Far Outback of Australia...

Found I love creating cards with just Dies and Distress Inks....

Hi There everyone... Today is La-La Lands Crafts Inspirational Monday and WOW do we have some inspiration for you to do...

are what I have used to create my first card above.... I added some machine sewing and and a few hand cut flags but otherwise kept my card pretty clean and simple.. a great male card ready for when i need it...

for my second card I used..

I created my background after finding some brick type paper and scanning it in, I then went to word and added in some music type sentiments...coloured in a footpath and again added some machine stiching...

Ho Ho Ho

Hi everyone, Ok this really is  a non traditional Christmas card colour but being that I live in Australia and  we dont have snow I decided to make it more what our Christmas is like hence the Christmas Tree twig....which is usually very HOT days,here especially in Western Australia!!!!

This cute image is from Make it Crafty . I found the patterned paper, stamped on music words, splattered water colour crayons over it and then added my Memory Box Dies- Starry Wreath and Grove Branch- 1 of black and 1 of white card and then overlayed them I even managed to find a challenge or two to enter this into..

I'm really trying to get a head start on my Christmas Cards, I am always so unprepared  so I decided to use the the Fall colours theme to get another card done  to add to my slowly growing Christmas pile!!...

On my card I used CHRISTMAS LANTERN  MARCI and CHRISTMAS TREE DIE.

I added some Snow-Tex to my trees and ripped paper for snow drifts. I sourced the Christmas quote  from the internet and printed it out on Bazzill card and then fussy cut out Christmas Marci...

Bizzy Bec's November Challenge...

I'm sure you have gathered by now that I have a love for "DIES" - ok mayb some would call it an obsession or even an addiction but these ones from Memory Box available from Bizzy Becs Online Store  are just fantastic....

I used Cityscape Nightline of which I cut 2 and layered them over each other and Brand New Bicycle again cutting 2 so I could have the black wheels...

The paper is Kaiser- Vintage Timeless and Yes there is some Washi tape again, lol... Balloon punch from Dear friend Janet who came to my rescue and various other punches for my flowers and leaves.... a Tim Holtz metal clock hand was added to my clock from my stash and a La La Land Crafts Corner Die.

Inspirational Monday- Halloween

  It's  "La-La Land "Inspirational Monday" and this week the theme to inspire you is

"HALLOWEEN".

 I love Halloween and Witches and all the fun that goes with it- maybe  because I was born in October- in fact it is my Birthday today (22nd)... and so as my friend Sue said recently, I"m a Witch in Training!.
 now im not going to tell you my age but lets just say I hate getting older..!!!!
but...I have been terribly spoilt today by my Dear Family and my Dear Friends who gave me money to spend on crafting goodies- wooo hoooo, I"m in retail heaven!!!
I just wish we celebrated Halloween here in Australia but unfortunetly we dont, sad hey.. I love the way people in some countries decorate their houses and also dress up in fantastic costumes to go trick or treating..

On my today card I used the super cute FLYING WITCH MARCI  along with FRIGHTFUL FENCE DIE, SPOOKY HOUSE DIE and EERIE BAT DIE .

Now I forgot to add- opps... that the Black Roses at the bottom of my circle card are The Rolled Rose- Small/ Medium Die from La La Land Crafts as well...

Inspirational Monday- Heavy Metal!

Hi everyone, Today is a public holiday here in West Australia and we are going to have perfect weather for it...bring on summer...

La La Land Crafts Inspirational Monday theme this week is...

" HEAVY METAL" use something metal on your card.

I went with a Halloween theme seeing it is the 1st day of October and used Vampire Luka, Scary Tree Die and Frightful Fence Die.

The metal on my card is the owl, ghost and cat that I gave some colour with my alcohol inks and also the little jump rings and chain  for my sign.

Hello Sunshine...

Hi there...well here in West Australia another term of school has ended and we have 2 weeks holidays- wooo hooo..and the weather is looking pretty darn good for the next week or so.

Have some fun things planned for the holidays... a little bit of craft retail therapy- cant wait!!! and a few other things planned but more on that on the days, lol...

Todays cards is just one of those images that was to cute not to buy and add to my every growing digital image pile... this is from A Day for Daisies called Miss Carl Clown...and of course my Purple Onion Sun just had to be added, for those of you who know me sooooo well you know that I just love this sun stamp!!!!

Taking lil grandson Ayce off today to see some farm animals at my school....should be lots of fun....Hope your day is a good one as well....

On my card I used the super cute FAERIE MARCI and the Water-Lily Die.
I placed Faerie Marci in a Mason Jar and die cut quite a few of the Water Lily Die's for my stars...that were burnished with glitter and some were coloured over with Copics. A little bit of splatter paint finished off the card.

Hi there., Today we have a NEW Challenge for you over at Bizzy Bec's Challenge....

"Create a card for a "MALE" and include a "TAG"...

theme by DT Marilyn.

I used an "older" Magnolia Edwin stamp and 3 Memory Box Dies... Perched Reed Bird, Fluffy clouds and Grove Branch.

The little tags were cut from various Nestabilities, Sizzix Dies and Punches... then they were all glued and attached onto Ledger paper purchased from my local Officeworks.

Hi there...  It's "La-La Land "Inspirational Monday" and this week the theme to inspire you is

 I used the BRAND  NEW super cute SUMMER MARCI - isn't she just the sweetest lil gal and the WAVE BORDER DIE.

I used the wave edge from the Wave Border Die and placed it behind a punched circle to create the sun. rays, and some real and faux stitching.

introducing........BATH TIME MARCI

Happy Tuesday everyone!! Today is indeed a very special and HAPPY Tuesday! as La La Land Crafts is showcasing their brand NEW RELEASES and boy is it AMAZING!!

This is the biggest release we've had at LLLC.....20 NEW Rubber Stamps (including the Aussie release) and 10 NEW Dies!!  

There is  17 new images to our Marci and Luka range, plus we are introducing a NEW CAROUSEL Collection! 

 In addition to Carousel Collection, we have an SVG file in our store if you would like to make a 3D (half) carousel for your new images!  It's gorgeous and tons of FUN to make!

Our Aussie stamps were released exclusively in Australia last month, but they are finally available to all our customers NOW!

It's such an exciting time right now for La-La Land Crafts because we are evolving into a stamp AND die company!  We are very excited about this release!  As you know our dies are high quality thin steel dies, made in US.  Most of them have a lot of intricate details, and some of the new ones even have embossed details on them!  

In addition to showcasing these amazing stamps and dies, there is a GIVE-AWAY!! The only thing you have to do to be eligible is to leave a comment on the La La Land Crafts Blog post....EASY PEASY!!

*****EMBOSSING*****

On my card I used one of the Fabulous Dies..

 DRESS FORM.

I decided to go with a tag and added lots of sewing elements, tuelle, scissors, tape, lace, handmade yoyo flower, buttons, you get the idea, lol.....The embossing was sizzix strips that came in diffferent types of stitching that I rubbed over with some distress inks so they would stand out on my tag.
