MFT Day 2 - Guest Designer

Hi there, its day 2 for me and the last day of being Guest Designer For My Favourite Things Stamps.
I had a fabulous time creating these cards and would like to give a BIG, BIG, BIG thanks to MFT for having me.. its been really great!
Again I made 3 cards and have included the details for you..

I used Pure Innocence Season’s Tweetings stamp set for this card.
I stamped her and the bird onto blending card with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink and coloured with my Copics. The background was made by blending Summer Splash Premium Dye Ink and then, using the Let it Snowflake Die-namics, I die cut into the card and then finished with the Pierced Rectangle STAX. The sweet little girl and bird were then glued down. The sentiment was stamped on vellum.
Handmade card from Debra James featuring Pure Innocence Season's Tweetings

For my next card below I drew a Christmas Tree triangle shape with a lead pencil onto white card stock and then using Limelight, Summer Splash, Peach Bellini, Kraft, and Cotton Candy Premium Dye Inks, I stamped the sentiments and extras from Winter Wonderland and Trim the Tree. It did take a bit of masking and arranging of the sentiments to create a good fit.
Handmade card from Debra James featuring Winter Wonderland and Lisa Johnson Designs Trim the Tree

For this my  final card, I used the Cool Cup Die-namics, Pinstripe Background, Fall Florals, Stay Cool, and a heart from the Flamingos Die-namics.
I die cut 2 cups from water colour card stock. I coloured one of them  with pink and orange paint and stamped images from the Fall Florals set with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. I then trimmed it to add to the middle of my other die-cut cup. I stamped the sentiment onto vellum and die cut with the Radial Stitched Circle STAX.

MFT Guest Deisgner...

Hi there everyone.
I’m very happy and excited as I have the honour of being a Guest Designer for My Favourite Things. It’s no surprise to those who know me that I love all things MFT, especially going by my rather extensive collection of MFT stamps and Die-namics, and to get to share my card creations today using these fabulous products is a dream come true.
My cards today showcase a mix of older and newer release stamps and Die-namics.

Handmade card from Debra James featuring Winter Wonderland

My first card has been created using the Winter Wonderland stamp set and coordinating Die-namics, along with Pop-Up Holiday Greetings, Trim the Tree, and Homespun Stitch Lines. The houses have been stamped with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink onto X-press It Blending card and coloured with Copic Markers. I stamped the ornaments and garland using various MFT Premium Dye Inks to match the colouring of the houses. I framed the card with paper from the Dots & Stripes Sorbet Paper Pack.
                                                 ******************************

Handmade card from Debra James featuring Winter Wonderland

For the next card, I again used the Winter Wonderland stamp set and Die-namics along with the Pierced Rectangle STAX and balloons from Birthday Bears. I masked off the bottom of my card with a post-it note and then sponged on blue ink, added some splattered ink of the same colour, and flicked on some water droplets. I stamped my sentiment before die cutting the Pierced Rectangle at an angle on the card. I added some foam beneath to lift the die-cut piece off the base and give dimension. I then attached my house and the 11 Balloons.

Handmade card from Debra James featuring Winter Wonderland

I wanted to create some ornaments for my next card. This was achieved by using the Winter Wonderland stamp set and Die-namics, Stitched Arch STAX, Snow Drifts Die-namics, Blueprints 26, and a sentiment from Trim the Tree. I sponged Blue Breeze Premium Dye Ink onto white card stock and splattered on some white paint to give the look of snow. Taking the inked card and using the Stitched Arch STAX, I cut 3 from this piece and an extra 6 pieces from white card stock. The 6 extra pieces were then die cut using the snowdrifts die. I then taped these together to form my ornaments. The images from Winter Wonderland were stamped and heat embossed with Silver embossing powder and positioned on the ornaments to create little scenes. The string and bow from the Blueprints 26 were cut from Silver Foil Card Stock and a silver heat embossed sentiment was added to the card

CASE(ing) Kelly Blog Hop...

Hi there.. You should have arrived here today from the fabulous DAWN TURLEY for the..
  CASE(ing) Kelly Latevola  Blog Hop

Now you may not be aware but over on Kelly's Blog she does a CASE(ing) Genius posts.. This is were she asks/chooses someone (you) to participate by sending her 3 cards of your choice and a little blurb about yourself..  then she creates her own card by taking certain elements from each of the 3 cards you send to her.
So this time around a few!!! OK all of us that have been "cased" decided to have some fun and turn the tables around so to speak and case Kelly as a surprise...

Below is the 3  I have chosen from Kelly's cards...
1st Card-   I love the head shot image Kelly did for this card.

2nd Card - I love the stencil background Kelly did on this card- it helps direct the eyes to the image.

and
the 3rd Card - just love these beautiful coloured butterflies with the white dots..

So after taking some elements from  Kelly's cards above..

Here is my card below CASE(ing) Kelly..

I was totally inspired by the 3rd card and the Butterflies with those beautiful, bright rainbow colours she used  and her use of a white gel pen to add those little white dots of pop....
I used a Prima Stamp called Sharon to mimic the head shot image of her 1st card and the CAS style. On Kellys 2nd card she uses a stencil to give that soft look and take away the stark white background card and that's what I did on my card as well.

I coloured "Sharon with Copic Markers and the background is Distress Inks thru an MFT Grid Stencil.

I hope you like it Kelly...and as the sentiment says..
"I think your all sorts of wonderful"

Now of course you cant have a blog hop with out some fun prizes..

I have been {CASE}ed....

Hi there, todays post is a little different as not so long ago I was asked by the very talented..
Kelly Latevola -  You and Your Big Dreams ......
if I would be a part of a feature blog post where every week she publishes her unique {CASE}ing Genius  series where she showcases different card artists she likes.
This week it is little old me that Kelly is {CASE}ing for her latest feature blog post...
It is a HUGE, HEGE compliment and I am very appreciative that I was asked by Kelly to participate.
How it works is... we are asked a few basic easy questions and  we send her any 3 of our cards so she can CASE them into one brilliant card of her own.
Now if you have not seen Kelly's work then you really are missing out, she is one extremelly talented lady...
You must check out her BLOG and her Instagram account.
I'm so excited to see what she has created .. so I'm off to her Blog now to look...
