mmmmm beer!!!!

Today I have another Fabulous image to show that is a digital image from the new Collection of "Pin Up Girls from none other then Bizzy Becs and is avalable now!!!!
The first thing that came to mind when I first saw  Ginger was that she would look perfect on a T/Shirt.

I found a template on the net for the shirt, photoshop layered in a blue background paper, layered in a pocket and a spider image I had, added Ginger, printed it out on Blending paper so I would be able to colour with my Copics and of course I needed a quote to go with so.... Homer Simpson was the way to go!!!
Then I added in some puff paint to the top of the glass and  then stictched around the edges of my shirt with red cotton and some buttons to finish it off. mmmm.... what male in my house should I give it toooo....

My Handmade Photo Tent

Hi Ladies, I have had a few inquires about my Photo tent that DH and  I made so here are the details.
After looking at various photo tents either to make out of cardboard boxes with material or buying professional ones this is what my DH and I came up with.
I have to say this works brilliantly regardless of the either the weather , daytime or nightime!!!!
It was just a few nails to hold the 4 frames approx 25cm by 33 cm together( any size will work) and then it was ready to use. I think it cost me no more then $12.oo, pretty good hey!!!!
I place it as you see it on my craft table, put my Ott/Daylight Light over the top of the gap with light shining down and angle my card at the back (ie... top of card leaning on photo tent and the bottom slightly angled out from the tent) hope that makes sense...... so the light picks up the shimmer.

I took the photos of my tag ( post below) at 11pm at night and as you can see the photos come out great. The canvas frames I used are only thin but I dont think it matters if you cant find the these, Im sure thick canvas ones will do the same you  just may need longer nails and what ever size you can find. I found the size above was perfect for what I needed for my cards. But if you need to Photograph scrapbook pages then of course you will need bigger.
I found mine at a cheap art place over here. So as you can see easy to make and works effectively.
If you make a canvas frame photo tent I would love to hear back from you  as Im sure DH would love to get some recognition ( just in case I need him to make more things for me, bahaha)

One down........

Just a quick post as I am a little surprised with this tag, Why u ask, because its a Christmas Tag!!!! I cant believe I have started on Christmas.I have had this stamp- Lil Lad Frankie for a while waiting to be inked up and I am going to enter this into   Tickled Pink Christmas Challenge , its a good way to start on my Christmas cards without that mad rush at the end of the year. I have used lots of glitter and spica pens, gotta love them and I have worked out how to finally photograph it so the shimmer shows.
I had hubby make me a photo tent. I purchased 4 medium canvas frames and then he nailed them all together, Ott light over the top and no matter what the light- day, cloudy, night all photos come out  really well. So very easy to make.If you would like a photo of my tent to make your own please let me know.

Hi Everyone, Today I would like to share with you all a few tags made by some of the most Fun Loving, Gorgeous Ladies who attend my Copic Classes fortnightly.
Most of these ladies are new to the world of Copic Colouring and do not have blogs. So I have decided to post their wonderful creations on my blog and Im sure they will get a kick out of seeing them here. When I demonstrate a technique they are given "homework"lol... where they go home and make a tag using any image that they have, with the technique shown to them and then that tag is swapped( chosen by numbers) with the other ladies in the group. It makes for great practise and lots of fun. We  also have lots of laughs and swap many a story!!!!!
So to all who attend my classes thankyou, you make the teaching morning so enjoyable, xxxxxx

The good Wife......

I wanted to share with you all today another Fabulous image from the
"NEW PIN UP GIRL"
Collection that will be available on the 20th May, HERE at Bizzy Becs.
I have merged this wonderful girl-MAID LUCY on a background I created thru Adobe Photshop. I found the stove on the computer when I googled colouring pages and the sentiment I used is a combination of sayings/quotes that came from a page from a magazine issue called House Keeping published in 1955- The Good Wife's Guide. You really should read it , sooooooo funny.!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok.. girls come on...Im' sure we all dress, look and greet hubby like this when he comes home... bahahaha....
I have paper peiced her apron and used spica pens to add that sparkle.

Centre stage..

Burlesque Bessie
is the name of this fabulous new image from the NEW PIN-UP girl digital image collection that will be available at Bizzy Becs on the 20th May.
My inspiration for this card came from my daughter who up to only a few years ago and since the age of 4 years old was a dancer. Rhiannon had a  costume very similar to this for a production of a Broadway number she performed in. It looked amazing on stage so I wanted to produce something similar with Burlesque Bessie.
I merged Bessie 3 times to create the Chorus line.
I then placed them on Piano BG paper I found on the internet. This was all done thru Adobe Photoshop.
I also made a Vellum folded curtain ( this fab idea came from one of the girls I teach Copic's to on Saturday's when she made a shower curtain... Thanks Jill for the inspiration.
I then used lots of foam tape to add the top curtain and  lots of Red spica pen for that added sparkle to her gloves, costume, hat, and shoes.
I used the warm shades of greys- W1-W7 along with R24, R29, R59 and E37.
I  also gave them all a little shadow of light using YOO, W1 and W00 and Blender.
If you would love to see more of these fabulous"Pin Up"girl images then pop over regulary to Bizzy Becs Blog to see them.
I am also going to enter this in to..
 I-Copic Challenge- Use Reds.
CES Challenge-Favourite Colour Combo

Timeless Moments

What is so great about the May the 5th, well it's Bizzy Becs new challenge for the month.
This month the theme is
 "Create a TAG".
The prize for this month is a Cheery Lynn Doily Die
Well I couldn't stop at just doing one tag as there are so many fab tag dies out at the moment, especially the Magnolia Doo Hickey tag dies that I just had to have from HERE -Bizzy Becs online store so I wanted to create a little something using a lot of tags.
I found this recesssed frame at Big W for $4.00 which was perfect for what I wanted- yes I brought a few as you  never know when you may want one!!!!!
The music paper I have used on my tag is a digi download paper from Bizzy Becs along with the gorgeous Roses and Leaves  (wrapped green florist tape around) and the Timeless ticket tag.
The quote was computer generated and attatched to a Tim Holtz hanger clip, ribbon and lace from my stash,Collections Bird, stickles and the paper is Prima.
I think this would be a first for me - have you spotted it yet!!!!!...... YES no coloured images!!!I am going to add some embellies and extras around the outside of the frame but for now did not want to hide the view to the tags.
*****I need some help ladies. I have just got my hands "finally" on an iPad2 and would love to hear if ayone has found a good app for posting and editing for your blog. I have the blogpress and blogsy app. If you know a better one I would love to hear from you.*******

Capture the Moment

I have had the Magnolia Doo Hickey Die-Bizzy Becs for a little while  and the Sentiment Die and matching stamps from Tickled Pink  just recently and they both went together perfectly with  my  gorgeous new Prima Paper pack for my card today.I have to confess, Im a paper addict, I have soooo much  but everytime I see new paper I find it hard to resist!!!even buying two of the same so I wont run out,  sure I'm not the only one- Hands up if you do the same.
The stamp/image is  from Tickled Pink-I paper peiced her coat and hat, Cuttle Bug Heart Die, Lace, Pearls Heart, Doily from Bizzy Becs, Stickles and Ribbon from my stash.I  used gesso over the main DP paper just to tone the colours down a little, love how gesso makes everthing so softer looking.
If you look closely you will also see a crochet white flower in-between the Magnolia flowers, My good friend Sally made these for me and she has me going on them to now, when not colouring Im making flowers,Thanks Sal,xxx
